Thousands of athletes have become stars in college, but few have done it like Olivia Dunne.

Earlie this year, Dunne’s gymnastics career ended when LSU failed to make the national title round, ending the school’s hope of becoming back-to-back champions.

The No. 1 team in the country finished behind Utah (197.7625) and UCLA (197.7375) in an April 17 meet. The loss marked the end of Dunne’s gymnastics career, after she opted to return for one more season, making her a super senior.

With her athletic career in the rearview, Dunne recently revealed what she would be doing if she had never dove headfirst into gymnastics.

SportsCenter asked various athletes what they would be doing if they weren’t athletes, and Olivia Dunne was one of the stars who replied.

Dunne stated she would be an underwater welder.

While there are no definitive statistics on the exact number of female underwater welders, women are significantly underrepresented in the field.

Some sources indicate that women make up only around 5.3% of welders in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

Dunne was likely kidding, given her small frame.

Even if she never got into gymnastics, she would’ve most likely been an Instagram model with millions of followers.
