Kate Martin, the former college teammate of Caitlin Clark turned WNBA guard, is having a solid 2025 season.

The 6-foot, 172-pound guard played her first WNBA season with the Las Vegas Aces. Martin, a sharpshooting guard out of Iowa, averaged 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game for the Aces. She was then selected by the Golden State Valkyrie in the WNBA Expansion Draft.

Martin, a second round pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, has become a key player for the league’s new franchise. She’s averaging 7.0 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while shooting 33.3 percent from the 3-point line.

The veteran WNBA guard is winning off of the court, too. Her stunning girlfriend, Claire Gransee, recently turned heads with a new photo.

Claire is an Iowa grad, too.

Kate and Claire confirmed their relationship back in June of 2024. They have officially been dating for a little more than a year now.

Like Kate, Claire is a graduate of the University of Iowa. After Claire graduated in 2024, she moved to Boston for her work in human resources.

“Boston has been my dream city since I first visited, and I am beyond grateful to have this opportunity to begin my professional career there!” she wrote.

She graduated from Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in communications and minors in law and news & media literacy.

“The past four years at Iowa have been truly unforgettable, and I am beyond thankful for every person I have met in my time here. I feel so lucky!” she captioned her graduation post on LinkedIn.

Claire has developed a big-time following on Instagram thanks to her relationship with Kate, too. She has more than 30,000 followers. Claire is from Chicago.

The happy couple has publicly confirmed their relationship over the past year with several different social media posts.

Kate Martin and the Valkyries, meanwhile, will return to the court on Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. E.T.

Angel Reese wears only one legging as a part of her one-court attire and the fans have grown curious about it. Many people speculated that it was part of a superstition that Reese followed, however, that is not the case. The LSU star has herself revealed the reason for the unique dressing choice and it may surprise a lot of people.

“I had surgery two years back on my shin. I have a rod in my leg… I cover the scar on one, and then the two players that I admire, Te’a Cooper and A’ja Wilson, also wear it, too. So it is swag. But I have used it to cover my scar,” said Angel Reese. She revealed that she had surgery on her leg and had a scar on it. She wears the leggings to hide that scar and at the same time as a swag fashion accessory.

Angel Reese declares for WNBA draft with Vogue photoshoot

After the Tigers failed to stand up against Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes the fans were left wondering if the LSU star Angel Reese would declare for the upcoming NBA draft. Reese has answered those questions with a beautiful photoshoot in collaboration with Vogue. Reese did a photo shoot with the brand and announced that she would be declaring for the WNBA draft.

Reese expressed her thoughts about the decision on her official X (formerly Twitter) account. “Making my announcement with VOGUE was ICONIC. In the new world that I am stepping into, just believe in me, trust in me, and give me time to learn and grow!” said Reese in the post. She thanked her supporters for their support and love and also asked them to trust her in her new journey.
