Although she’s usually known for covering the WNBA, ESPN’s Andraya Carter is in Oklahoma City this week to cover the NBA playoffs.
Carter joined ESPN in 2018 as a game analyst. She recently received an expanded role with the network as part of her multi-year extension. So far, she has made appearances on “First Take” and “College GameDay” among other prominent ESPN shows.
Prior to becoming an ESPN analyst, Carter played college basketball for the University of Tennessee. Unfortunately, injuries prevented her from becoming a WNBA player. On the bright side, her broadcasting career has been exceptional.
“The Lady Vol for Life has earned a significant amount of acclaim thus far, as she was honored as the 2023 Dawn Staley Excellence in Broadcasting recipient, a 2022 University of Tennessee Alumni Promise Award winner, the University of Tennessee 2023 40 under 40, NSMA’s Best Young Reporter for 2022, was named to The Athletic’s 40 Under 40: Rising Stars in Women’s Basketball, The Athletic’s 40 Under 40 in College Sports and The Athletic’s 20 for 20: Who’s Shaping the Future of Women’s Basketball. Carter was also a 2023 Sports Emmy nominee in the Emerging On-Air Talent category,” ESPN’s press release for Carter states.

Carter’s rise to stardom resulted in her landing an endorsement deal with Nike. That’s a partnership she dreamed of as a kid.
“I’m SO incredibly honored to announce my partnership with @nike as the next step in this amazing journey,” Carter said in August 2024. “It’s one that’s deeply rooted in the belief of the power of sport. A belief that Nike and I share together. I dreamed of this moment as an athlete more times than I can count and NEVER imagined being the first analyst signed to Nike. But when it comes to giving your all to the game you love, it’s always worth.”
Carter’s fashion has been on fully display sinc
e joining ESPN in 2018. That being said, she occasionally trades in her classy attire for a swimsuit.
When the NBA season finally slows down, Carter should have a chance to go on vacation. For now though, she’s in the trenches.
As of this week, Carter has over 216,000 Instagram followers.
Carter is covering Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals for ESPN. She’ll most likely remain in OKC for Game 2 as well.
Basketball fans should expect to see Carter back in the WNBA world later this month, which is a good thing considering her women’s basketball analysis is second to none.
Tony Romo (Photo via CBS)
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is not the most popular guy on TV. That much was apparent while he was calling the Wild Card game between the Broncos and Bills for CBS on Sunday.
Romo, who has done very little to hide how much he admires Buffalo QB Josh Allen, had some praise for the MVP favorite while he was attempting to take his team to the Divisional Round.
Some fans felt like he was being overly gracious, while some simply couldn’t stand him talking in general.
“STFU AGAIN ROMO!!!!!!!!! I’M TIRED OF YOUR BILLS AND CHIEFS GLAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU’RE SICKENING ASF!!!!!!!!!!” an X user wrote.
“Can we start a petition to ban Romo from calling games,” another asked.
“Can Tony Romo get off his kneees for Josh Allen?” someone else chimed in.
“Tv muted when romo starts talking,” a fan claimed.
Tony Romo’s Partner Reached Impressive Milestone
While Romo was getting slammed, his broadcast colleague touched an impressive milestone.
Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.
Nantz and Romo have been working together for seven of those 40 years.
VIDEO: A’ja Wilson Sends Social Media Into A Frenzy After Claiming She Would Beat Josh Hart In A 1v1

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.
In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.
“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.
Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
