New San Francisco 49ers team reporter Briana Jeannel is trending online after posting photos from her preseason outing with the team over the weekend.

The journo started in the new role this August, with her promotion coming as a full-circle moment, given that she grew up in the Bay Area and grew up as a Niners fan.

Jeannel joined the team in 2021, working in digital media and content production. Fast-forward to August 2025, and she’s now the team’s main storyteller, responsible for gameday coverage, player interviews, and injury updates, while she’s also tasked with stirring fan engagement across various platforms.

The newly appointed reporter wrote an open letter to 49ers fans earlier this month, revealing that her new role means more than just a job to her.

“Today, I’m beyond grateful to officially step into my new role as the San Francisco 49ers team reporter. This is more than a job for me, it’s a dream rooted in childhood memories, family traditions, and a lifelong love for this team and its fans,” she wrote via the team’s official website.

Briana expressed a desire to do things the 49er way, given her respect for the team’s legacy.

As noted above, she’s been trending online this week, thanks to some photos she had taken on the field following Saturday’s preseason win over the Las Vegas Raiders, stealing the show after Terrell Owens’ son left an impression on fans.

Check her out below:

“The Niners needed this desperately,” a fan claimed.

“Sweet heavenly Jesus,” another wrote.

“As my grandma from the south would say…. Good lord have mercy. Haha,” said a third.

“She’s showing how a** the Niners are going to be this year 🤭🤭🤭,” a user joked.

“I need more context in picture form for educational purposes only,” someone else begged.

The Niners will be back in action this Saturday and are preparing to be without a key player following a recent DUI charge.

The NFC outfit is also dealing with a season-ending injury to a running back.

They are scheduled to host the Los Angeles Chargers this weekend and will begin their regular season with an away game against the Seattle Seahawks on September 7.

Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
