After flying under the radar for most of the NFL offseason, the New York Jets finally got that unwanted attention that usually comes their way. Quarterback Justin Fields was injured today, sustaining what has been initially diagnosed as a toe injury.

Concerns rose considerably this morning when it was reported that Fields had to be carted off the field after a routine play. But Jets head coach Aaron Glenn did a good job of assuaging fears by stating that Fields suffered a toe injury rather than a knee injury.

That may not inspire confidence in Jets fans, but it’s better than the kind of season-ending injury that they’ve practically become acclimated to.

As Fields recovers, he’ll have the support of plenty of Jets fans and likely from his rumored girlfriend, Gianna Carmona.

Rumors swirled that Fields and Carmona were an item during the 2023 NFL off-season. The two were reportedly seen traveling together in Turks & Caicos.

Then, during the 2024 season, Carmona took some photos from a Pittsburgh Steelers game when Fields was the team’s quarterback.

It’s a lot of circumstantial evidence though. Carmona does not have any photos on her Instagram of her together with Fields. Fields does not have any photos with Carmona either.

Maybe it was a fling or maybe they’ve simply been keeping their relationship private.

It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that a Jets quarterback has managed to keep a relationship completely secret from the rest of the world.

Ex-Jet Aaron Rodgers managed to meet a woman, date her and get married without anyone finding out who she even is.

At any rate, Fields needs all of the support he can get as he tries to overcome this first hurdle as the Jets quarterback.
