Kay Adams walked in with a brown dress and a smile that could light up the Rocky Mountains with her new training camp tour destination this week.

The “Up & Adams” host dropped into Denver this week for stop No. 13 on her summer tour. She has already hit camps from Cincinnati to Tampa, but her visit with the Broncos had a different energy. Or maybe it was just the way she owned the practice field like it was a red carpet.

Adams, a longtime NFL fan favorite since her “Good Morning Football” days, didn’t just show up to watch drills. She made it clear she was soaking in every bit of the Broncos’ vibe heading into 2025.

“Lots of smiles around here because they know what they have is special & they’re putting in the work,” she wrote on Instagram. “A complete team with mile-high vibes going into 2025.”

Adams’ post wasn’t just focusing on herself or the place. She believes Sean Payton’s squad can make a serious run. That’s not empty hype either. She even got Payton himself to draw a line back to his 2009 Super Bowl-winning Saints.

“There are some similarities,” Payton mentioned. He talked about veteran free agents coming in, a talented young draft class, and leadership that feels intentional. “The better teams that we’ve ever been a part of have all taken over and run themselves. And this one can do that.”

It’s not hard to see why Adams felt the buzz. Denver’s mix of fresh talent and experienced voices has the building feeling confident. Payton’s mention of players like Talanoa Hufanga and Dre Greenlaw painted a picture of the type of edge and focus he’s looking for.

From her spot on the field, Adams looked like she belonged as much as anyone in pads. Maybe more. It wasn’t just about making an appearance for her FanDuel TV show. It was about connecting with a team that believes it’s on the verge of something big.

The Broncos will get their first shot to prove her right when they open the 2025 season against the Tennessee Titans. If the mood in camp and Adams’ glowing review are anything to go by, Denver fans might have plenty of reasons to keep smiling.
