Drama isn’t always behind closed doors, and Jalen Green just proved it. The 23-year-old Phoenix Suns guard grabbed enough attention at New York Fashion Week. Basically, cameras spotted him in a late-night 2 a.m. street argument with his girlfriend, actress Draya Michele, outside The Manor hotel in SoHo.

The wild scene unfolded after Mert Alas’ annual party, where A-listers like Dakota Johnson and Salma Hayek mingled. Green and Michele didn’t make it through the night quietly. In video obtained by Daily Mail, Green appeared to goad Michele before she lunged at him. Friends jumped in to hold her back. One shouted, “Stop, stop, stop… everybody going to get into trouble,” while another urged, “Everybody forgive each other.”

The chaos quickly spread down the street as the couple continued yelling. Michele had to be dragged away while Green kept firing words over his shoulder. Their friends looked more like referees than party guests. It was messy, loud, and impossible to ignore.

The couple’s relationship has drawn plenty of eyes since it went public last summer. Michele, 40, is 17 years older than Green and has a son who is only a year younger than him. Their age gap created multiple takes online when fans first learned about it, though Green proudly showed her off in that Calvin Klein campaign, making headlines for more than just his vertical

The two welcomed a daughter in May 2024, and Michele often shares glimpses of motherhood on social media. On Friday morning, just hours after the street spat, she posted a clip of her baby exploring Lower Manhattan with the caption “Baby in the Big Apple ” on her Instagram story. Green was nowhere to be seen.

The tension comes during a season of transition. Green landed in Phoenix as part of the blockbuster trade that moved Kevin Durant to Houston. Michele later admitted she handled most of the stress of relocating so her boyfriend could stay focused on basketball. That moment showed how Green has embraced life’s realities in the NBA, even admitting he understood the business side of the deal when it happened.

It’s unclear if the Fashion Week argument was a serious issue or just a bad night, but Jalen Green’s personal life is now getting as much attention as his game.
