The Baltimore Ravens rookie kicker ended his first year in the league in dramatic fashion. There was nothing to celebrate as he missed a game-winning field goal against the Steelers. Many of his teammates were left in disbelief, unable to react. Lamar Jackson, who got them downfield, was clearly heartbroken.
Loop exited the field, helmet still on and head bowed, as the surrounding noise only got louder for the home team. The rookie had just experienced the most heart-wrenching snap of his career. He was already feeling terribly about it. Ravens fans made sure he felt even worse.
On social media, a bunch of Ravens fans took to his and his wife’s social media to vent their frustrations.
Ravens fans have left comments to the tune of hoping they get divorced. Some even want his life to fall apart because of that missed kick.
If that wasn’t bad enough, fans are also sending him d3ath threats.

The Baltimore Ravens fan base is in shambles right now. They watched as their rookie kicker missed a game-winning field goal to end their season. The fan base also saw a missed penalty on the Steelers that could’ve changed the outcome.
One kick would have won the Ravens the AFC North title and sent them into the postseason. Unfortunately, Loop’s kick sailed wide right as time expired. The Steelers ultimately walked away with a 26-24 win, securing the No. 4 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
Loop was seen sharing an emotional moment with coach John Harbaugh after his miss. Eventually, he would have to face the media. Tyler Loop admitted to reporters that he knew he had botched the kick the second he made contact with the ball.
“I caught a little bit—operation was great, it was a great situation, exactly what we wanted,” Loop relayed. “Unfortunately, I just mishit the ball. We call it hitting it ‘thin,’ spins fast, and goes off to the right. And yeah, that was it,” Loop said.
“I felt great. We had good warmups. I feel like our extra points through the course of the game were good, struck well. Felt good about our operation and everything. When it came down to it, just didn’t come together.”
Loop said Harbaugh told him to “get back in the saddle” after his brutal miss. He also reminded him that he was going to have many more opportunities down the line. The sixth-round draft pick was 41-for-43 on extra point attempts this year. He was also 29-for-32 on field goal tries.
