DANCING with the Stars fan-favorite Robert Irwin’s family is ‘already planning’ on bringing the Mirrorball Trophy back to the Australia Zoo, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

The family’s famous zoo, which rehabilitates injured and endangered animals, currently displays his sister, Bindi Irwin’s, DWTS memorabilia from her time on the show.

After Bindi, 27, won season 21 of DWTS in 2015 with partner Derek Hough, she took the Mirrorball Trophy all the way down to Queensland, Australia, where the zoo is located.

The family’s establishment also has a permanent display that showcases one of Bindi’s DWTS dresses, as well as a gallery of photos from her time in the competition.

It seems as though her younger brother may walk in her footsteps, as a source close to the family told The U.S. Sun that talks are already being had about what will happen if Robert, 21, wins.

“The Australia Zoo has already been in talks with DWTS to find out, logistically, when they might expect the Mirrorball Trophy.

“And have asked if any other props or costumes can be included to be displayed at the zoo,” the insider said.

They added: “Bindi’s trophy is on display and guests love to come see it and pose next to it.

“The zoo would love nothing more than to make it a true family affair and continue the tradition and add Robert’s hardware to the display.”

Currently, The Australia Zoo displays Bindi’s Mirrorball Trophy behind a lit-up glass casing.

Sitting next to it is the gorgeous black dress Bindi wore during the finale and a photo of her celebrating the win with her pro partner, Derek.

Fans can walk up to the case and pose directly next to the outfit and the trophy before enjoying other personal touches the family added to the wing.

The display is in a hallway titled The Crocodile Hunter Story, and it features hallways of photos, texts, and videos that celebrate the late Steve Irwin.

Steve, the father of Bindi and Robert, passed away on September 4th, 2006, at the age of 44.

The beloved wildlife personality, who was famously called The Crocodile Hunter, was struck in the heart by a stingray barb, causing a fatal injury.

In the years since his death, both Bindi and Robert have gone on to help run the zoo with their mother, Terri.

Robert and Bindi regularly put on shows at the zoo to educate attendees about the animals and are often photographed mingling with the wildlife or assisting with rescued creatures.

BOP TO THE TOP

Robert and his DWTS partner, Witney Carson, are currently still competing on DWTS and are frontrunners to win it all during next Tuesday’s finale.

It seemed as if the DWTS producers had known Robert was destined for greatness, as The U.S. Sun previously reported he was the “clear favorite” from the start.

“Every season producers have their clear favorites they kind of give the ‘hero’s edit,’ but this year, it’s not even fair for the other contestants,” the insider claimed.

“The show is all in on Robert and Witney.”

“They are heavily leaning into the nostalgic factor of Robert looking and acting so much like his dad.

“They love the family affair of Bindi being a former winner and are bringing her to the premiere, where she will be featured during his segments,” an insider said ahead of the premiere.
