Despite his success on the court, Rudy Gobert has recently come under scrutiny for issues in his personal life. Reports have surfaced alleging that Gobert ended his relationship with his pregnant girlfriend and asked her, along with their one-year-old son, to leave his home.

Gobert’s girlfriend, Julia Bonilla, posted about the situation on social media. She expressed heartbreak over the breakup and described her commitment to Gobert throughout their relationship.

“I considered Rudy the love of my life. I gave him a child and poured my heart into our relationship. When everyone criticized him and insulted him, I stood by him, always putting him first and choosing him, always,” her message stated.

According to a report from TMZ, the incident reportedly occurred at the beginning of the NBA playoffs. After the breakup, Bonilla plans to return to France. However, Gobert allegedly requested that she and their son remain in the United States until the Timberwolves’ postseason run ends.

Gobert addressed the situation publicly in a message shared via Instagram Stories. He acknowledged the situation’s complexity while sharing his father’s role.

“A lot of inaccurate information out there. Julia and I are currently in the painful process of redefining our co-parenting relationship. Being a father is one of the most profound and meaningful experiences I will get to live. I’m fully committed to keep supporting the well-being of all the people that I care about. I’m asking everyone to please refrain from speculating and to respect our privacy in these difficult times,” Gobert wrote.
