Ryan Clark is being praised for what he had to say about Kyren Lacy.

Former NFL player and analyst Ryan Clark refused to let Monday Night Football go off without mentioning the former LSU standout player and the evidence that would’ve cleared his name.

During his appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter after the Monday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Jacksonville Jaguars, Clark took some time to update the country, which may not have seen the new evidence.

“Kyren Lacy was supposed to be in the NFL. Kyren Lacy was accused of something and being investigated for something that he didn’t do, and he died having to live with the guilt and the consequences of a guilty man, knowing he was innocent,” Ryan Clark said.

“It recently was discovered that he was 72 yards away from the crash, that police and state policemen tried to coerce, and doctor, and use ways to manipulate statements that put this young man behind bars.

“They changed his joy, they changed his life, and eventually, he took his own life. This was supposed to be a career, but at least he was supposed to be here. At some point throughout his career, I would expect to have said his name, so I’m gonna say his name tonight.”

Clark continued, “Kyren Lacy was innocent. Kyren Lacy should be here with us. Nothing will ever repair or replace the pain that their parents — that his parents have to feel, and his loved ones have to feel. But we can say his name. There were so many stations that ran the fact that he was being investigated. So I wanted to make sure here with Scott, we could say that he was an innocent man, and at least know that he has that as he rests.”

Lacy was found dead from an apparent suicide earlier this year.

Ryan Clark posted a heartfelt message on social media at the time, saying, “It’s sad. It’s tragic, in some ways. It’s unfathomable.”

What The New Evidence Says About Kyren Lacy

Lacy was accused of causing a deadly vehicle crash last year, but newly released video of the crash shows he was 72 yards behind the vehicles that collided.

The new video showed Lacy behind the vehicles that crashed in December 2024, not weaving in front of them as was initially believed. It painted a much different picture than what investigators initially told the public about the wreck.

Lacy’s attorney, Matthew Ory, who previously said at his funeral he would clear his name, said Kyren Lacy was approximately 72 yards behind the crash that k%lled Herman Hall.

Despite the lies at the time, Lacy was booked on charges of hit-and-run driving with serious injury or d3ath, reckless operation with accident, and negligent h0micide.

He was innocent the entire time.

Months later, in April 2025, Lacy died by an apparent suicide following another incident where he allegedly shot into the ground during a domestic dispute and fled from cops. This was two days before a scheduled grand jury hearing related to the December 2024 crash.

The Mavericks pay tribute to Luka Dončić

While the Mavericks’ decision to trade Luka Doncic remains heavily criticized, they handled his return to Dallas with undeniable grace. The organization made sure his first game back as a Laker was met with respect and appreciation.

Every seat in the arena was draped with a T-shirt reading “Hvala za vse,” which translates from Slovenian to “thank you for everything.” It was a thoughtful nod to Doncic’s heritage and impact on the franchise.

Before tip-off, during the starting lineup announcements, the Mavericks played a tribute video showcasing some of Doncic’s most iconic moments in a Dallas jersey. The emotional gesture clearly resonated—moving Doncic to tears in front of the crowd that once called him their own.
