icole Kidman may be facing major personal change, but she’s not doing it alone. This summer, the actress immersed herself in both work and close companionship while filming ‘Practical Magic 2’ in London alongside Sandra Bullock.
The sequel, which wrapped in early September, brought the iconic co-stars back together more than two decades after their original 1998 portrayal of witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens. In a behind-the-scenes clip Kidman posted to Instagram on September 13, the duo is seen embracing, laughing, and dancing.

During filming, Sandra Bullock reflected on the personal connection she shares with Nicole Kidman
“That’s a wrap on #PracticalMagic2! Thank you to the cast & crew for all your magic,” she wrote. During filming, Bullock reflected on the personal connection she shares with her co-star. “It seems both of our mothers raised VERY independent women,” she told Vogue.
Kidman agreed, adding that the film’s feminist themes, long tied to society’s discomfort with strong, free-spirited women, are “all wrapped up in a pretty bow, with margaritas!”

Filmed in late summer, Kidman’s Vogue interview offered subtle glimpses into the personal transformation happening behind the scenes. The interview took place in August, about a month before she and husband Keith Urban announced their separation after nearly two decades of marriage.
“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?” she said in response to how she feels in her 50s, a moment the interviewer noted that hinted at the couple’s looming split.

The actress, now 58, emphasized her tight-knit community in Nashville, where she’s leaned on her inner circle during challenging times. Among those closest to her are longtime friend Reese Witherspoon, who lives right across the street, as well as “a senior oncologist at Vanderbilt Hospital and another friend who runs a hospital.” “Ride-or-die friendships,” Kidman called them.

The news of Kidman’s divorce broke on September 29, with official court filings following just a day later in Nashville.
