Kathryn Dennis Was Previously Part Of The Cast Of Southern Charm From 2014 To 2022

Many fans were introduced to Dennis after appearing on the Bravo reality series Southern Charm. The series focused on Southern culture, particularly on socialites in the Charleston area.

Initially a “friend” of the cast, Dennis was a main cast member through the second to eighth seasons, appearing from 2014 to 2022. She did not return for the ninth season.

According to Count On News 2, Dennis was convicted and sentenced this past Friday. She had been caught driving under the influence last year in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

This past Friday, Dennis was sentenced to serve 30 days in Berkeley County ja.il. According to the arresting agency, she was charged with “DUI/Driving under the influence,” which had been labeled as a “first offense.”

Back on May 20, 2024, Dennis was involved in a three-vehicle crash. When officers arrived at the scene, bystanders told police she might be impaired and claimed to smell alcohol on her.

According to the outlet, police reportedly noticed Dennis had glossy eyes when she approached them. Inspecting the vehicle, they noticed an unopened mini-Fireball bottle and an empty pink tumbler.

A responding officer also claimed to smell alcohol on Dennis when trying to speak with her. When asked, however, Dennis denied drinking or taking medication. While at the detention center, according to the officer, Dennis later claimed to have drunk alcohol “way earlier.”

On social media, fans were concerned as to why it took so long for Dennis to be sentenced. As one commenter suggested, “It depends on the case and location. It can take anywhere from a few months to over a year after being charged. There’s one county close to me that gets so many DUIs they have to refer cases to a neighboring county.”
