The Cleveland Browns made quite a decision to draft Shedeur Sanders after they had already taken Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel.
The Cleveland Browns have won one playoff game since being reactivated in 1999, and have played in just four playoff games over that span. It has been hell for the fan base to say the least.
With Sanders coming in, he’s not guaranteed the starting job. He was drafted behind teammate Dillon Gabriel and also faces competition from the other three quarterbacks on the roster: Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett.
It goes without saying that Sanders is not guaranteed the starting job this offseason, but he can play himself into that role during training camp.
All Sanders can do now is look back at his time at Colorado and focus on the NFL. Sanders is ready to prove many wrong.
Speaking to the team about what he wants to accomplish in the crowded Browns quarterback room, Sanders said he wants fans to feel like they have hope and a chance to win.
“I feel like the Browns fans, they just want something to hope for and they’ve been wanting it so long and long,” Shedeur Sanders told the team website. “And finally, I’m here to change that, I’m here to actually get what they want.”

Sanders made it clear that he wants to win and that his focus is on getting the job done for Cleveland.
“I’m here to work and win,” Sanders said.
“I think everything off the field, that’s going to handle itself. On the field, of course, that’s where I want my personality, and that’s what I want to be known for, is the one that came here and changed the franchise.”
Who Is Impressing More In Camp between Shedeur Sanders And Dillon Gabriel?

Sanders and the rest of the Browns’ draft class wrapped up rookie minicamp over the weekend, officially beginning the offseason slate for Cleveland’s group of rookies and undrafted hopefuls.
Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders and former Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel have overtaken the NFL and Cleveland Browns fan base.
The hype for Sanders is off the charts, creating unprecedented media coverage.
Cleveland Browns insider Tony Grossi offered a notable evaluation of the rookies. During recent workouts, he singled out Gabriel as the more impressive of the two.
“I thought, both days, Dillon Gabriel looked a little bit better,” Grossi said.
“He throws a tight spiral. He throws a beautiful ball, he’s very assertive, he knows the pocket. You could tell that even though they’re not rushing. He just has a pocket presence.”
