FROM the ballroom to the bright lights of Broadway, Whitney Leavitt’s latest career twist now careers a familiar face to DWTS fans.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star previously teased a “big announcement” with her former Dancing With the Stars partner, Mark Ballas, and the duos plans can now be revealed.

A source has exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Mark, 39, will be joining Whitney, 32, for her encore run in Chicago when the show returns in March.
“Mark will be joining Whitney for her encore run on Chicago once the show comes back in March,” the insider revealed. “And he’ll be a part of it until her April run ends.”
Whitney’s original Broadway run was scheduled for February 2, 2026, to March 15, 2026 however, due to high demand, her engagement got extended, with her returning to the role from March 23 through April 5, 2026.
The casting choice to add in Mark, the source said, was an easy one.
“Mark has a lot of ties to the Broadway community and has done shows in the past so it was a no-brainer.
“He’s stayed close with Whitney and they’ve become good friends, so they’re both really excited for their new chapter of their careers – and their friendship.”
The dynamic duo first built a tight bond during their time competing together on Dancing With the Stars‘ 34th season in 2025, with fans praising their chemistry both on and off the dance floor.
The Great Whit Way
Whitney was first announced as Roxie Hart in Chicago last year, marking a major milestone in her career.
The social media star-turned-performer revealed at the time that landing the iconic role had long been a dream.
To make it happen, Whitney and her entire family relocated from Salt Lake City, Utah to New York City so she could fully pursue her Broadway ambitions – a massive leap that shows how serious she was about carving out a career on stage
While many fans know Mark best for his years in the Dancing With the Stars ballroom, he’s no stranger to the theater world.
Over the years, Mark has performed in multiple stage productions, including appearances in Jersey Boys, where he showcased not just his dance ability but his live singing chops as well.
He has long maintained close ties within the Broadway community, blending his professional dance background with theatrical performance.
His move to join Whitney in Chicago marks another chapter in his evolving career – and reunites the duo in a completely new spotlight.
The Name on Everybody’s Lips…
Fans first hoped that Mark was jumping on the Broadway stage with Whitney when the pair teased they had a “big announcement” for fans.
In the clip, Mark begins aggressively walking towards the camera, which then pans to Whitney.
The two then join together for a brief dance together and tease they have a “big announcement pending.”
“See if you can catch the hint in this video,” she captioned the video alongside winking and eyeball emoji’s.
“CAN’T WAIT FOR YOU GUYS TO FIND OUT NEXT WEEK,” she added.
With rehearsals already underway and March fast approaching, fans can expect plenty more teases from the pair before they officially take their bow together.
