Dennis Quaid made an unannounced appearance on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Tuesday night, offering support from the audience for his former The Parent Trap co-stars Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter.
Hendrix, competing this season with professional partner Alan Bersten, took part in DWTS’s Dedication Night.
She invited Walter to join her on the dance floor for a foxtrot tribute, following the night, bringing judges and fans to tears multiple times with the emotional routines.
The two actresses, along with Quaid, appeared together in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap, which also starred Lindsay Lohan in dual roles as twin sisters.
During the episode, Quaid was seen seated in the audience with Walter ahead of the performance. The pair shared a hug as they supported Hendrix.

Hendrix and Walter performed to This Will Be (An Everlasting Love) by Natalie Cole.
Hendrix played the role of Meredith Blake in the 1998 film, while Walter portrayed the housekeeper Chessy.
Quaid played the twins’ father.
Speaking after the dance, Hendrix reflected on the reunion and the show of support.
“It means everything to me, the love and support of the people who are here and the people who aren’t here,” Hendrix said.
“I just feel so much love. And when you are lucky enough to have these kind of people in your life, you have to hold on to them because they’re lifers.”
Ahead of the episode, Hendrix explained her decision to bring Walter into the performance.
“They said Dedication Week was coming. I said, ‘Well, I need to have Lisa Ann Walter there with me,’” Hendrix said.
She praised her collaborators, adding, “Alan is my show security blanket, and Lisa is my life security blanket. I look at her and I instantly feel calm. She just knows. We know what to say to each other because we know each other so well. So when I start to get on the edge, she knows how to bring me back and how to calm me down. And so, having her here means everything to me.”
Hendrix also previously recalled working with Quaid on the 1998 film.
“I thought we had tremendous chemistry,” she told Business Insider. Hendrix was 26 at the time of filming; Quaid was 44.
