NEW details have emerged in the case of Nancy Guthrie, the missing mother of Today star Savannah Guthrie.

In a new interview, the distressed daughter discussed the exhaustive search for her mom, and revealed how her home was found as officials have been under increased scrutiny for their handling of the case.

The Today co-host revealed the moment she found out that Nancy Guthrie had gone missing, and the panic as the family first believed she had suffered a medical episode.

Savannah said that the back doors to her mother’s home were “propped open” when relatives first went to check on her.

“We thought that she must have had some kind of medical episode in the night, and that somehow the paramedics had come because the back doors were propped open, and that didn’t make any sense,” Savannah told Hoda Kotb.

“We thought maybe they came and there was a stretcher, and they took her out the back.”

Quickly, however, the family realized that all of her belongings were still in the home.

“Her phone was there and her purse was there and all her things,” Savannah recounted.

“And it just didn’t make any sense.”

Teary-eyed Savannah said that what followed the initial find was “just chaos and disbelief.”

The 84-year-old was first reported missing February 1, with few updates in the investigation since.

Now, as the case has passed the 50-day mark, Savannah decided to have the emotional sit-down interview with friend Kotb.

“My mom, she was in tremendous pain. Her back was very bad. On a good day, she could walk down to the mailbox and get the mail, but most days not. So there wasn’t a wander off,” she said.

“And the doors were propped open, and there was blood on the front doorstep. And the Ring camera had been yanked off. And so we were saying, ‘This this is not OK. Something is very wrong here.’”

Kotb’s eyes watered as Savannah claimed that the family doesn’t “know anything” about why Nancy was targeted, but has theorized that it’s because of her fame.

“To think that I brought this to her bedside, that it’s because of me,” Savannah said.

“I’m so sorry Mommy, I’m so sorry.”

The family has offered a $1 million reward for Nancy, and has tirelessly pleaded for those with information to come forward as the case has stretched on.

Days after Nancy had gone missing, the FBI released frightening doorbell camera footage of a masked man seen on the night she disappeared.

Guthrie referred to the clip as “absolutely terrifying.”

“I can’t imagine that that is who she saw standing over her bed,” she said.

“I can’t. It’s too much.”
