It’s been more than two months since WWE legend Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) unexpectedly passed away at the age of 71, but the investigation into his d3ath appears to be far from over.
The Hulkster passed away at the age of 71 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. A week later, it was announced that Hulk Hogan d!ed of acute myocardial infarction, also known as a heart attack.
Additionally, Hogan battled leukemia and had atrial fibrillation, an irregular heartbeat. In a 2024 appearance on Logan Paul’s “IMPAULSIVE” podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer also revealed that he underwent approximately 25 surgeries over 10 years. This included 10 back surgeries and procedures to replace both his knees and hips.
But the investigation into Hogan’s d3ath is far from finished, Clearwater police officials told Greg Woodfield of the Daily Mail:
“More than two months after the wrestling legend stopped breathing at his $8million waterfront mansion in Clearwater, Florida, police have told the Daily Mail they are still investigating his d3ath.
Exactly what they’ve found so far, they will not say.
Inquiries to the police department in the touristy beach haven on the Sunshine State’s gulf coast was met with a curt: ‘The status of the case has not changed.’ They did, however, confirm the case is ‘ongoing.’”
Hulk Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, and son Nick have also petitioned the court for a 90-day extension of the statute of limitations, allowing them to file a potential medical malpractice lawsuit, according to court documents obtained by NBC Palm Springs.
Florida-based medical malpractice attorney Joe Osborne also told the Daily Mail that it could take more than two years for all questions in the investigation to be cleared up.

“It’s an average two-and-a-half years. First, medical records must be obtained and an expert on that particular surgery would have to decide if there’s a good faith opinion to pursue a case for what we call below standard of care.”
More to come.
Hulk Hogan Changed The Wrestling Industry Forever

Hogan lived a controversial life in and out of the ring, but there’s no denying how much he single-handedly changed the wrestling industry in the early years of the WWE.
Vince McMahon handpicked Hulk Hogan to be the face of his company during the wrestling boom in the ’80s. Hogan was loved by millions around the world, transforming the WWE into a global phenomenon, headlining eight different WrestleMania events.
If Hogan didn’t leave for WCW and put them on the map in the ’90s, WWE may not have developed future superstars like The Rock, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Triple H, Edge and Kurt Angle.
