Jesse Watters boasted about the latest development in the war against Iran, a move that upset many conservatives.

During the Fox News broadcast of Jesse Watters Primetime, the host announced President Donald Trump agreed to a potential two-week ceasefire in the war against Iran. The president had initially threatened to destroy their infrastructure if the country in the Middle East did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the primary export route for oil.

Watters stressed, “This isn’t over,” to the camera. This comes as Iran had previously rejected Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan as the Middle East was on edge over the next U.S. attack.

Watters said, “We have a deal. For now. The U.S. and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire, subject to the reopening of The Strait.

“Trump just got Iran to cry ‘uncle.’ They’ve been calling him crazy for making threats. Guess the threats worked. The Strait’s on its way of becoming open. Iran has agreed to stop firing on drones,” he added.

Watters boasted, “The world’s just witnessed an overwhelmingly display of military and technological superiority,” before stressing, “This isn’t over. We still have Cuba, Greenland,” before pausing and emphasizing, “Canada.”

The host then cracked a smile and teased, “Just kidding!”

However, viewers did not find his segment hilarious as they slammed him on social media, arguing that the president had backed down on his threat.

One person wrote, “Jesse Watters demonstrates that no matter what, he will be Donald Trump’s simp. He is an embarrassment.”

Another person added, “You really don’t care about human lives. That isn’t funny, Jesse Watters, you f—-ing piece of s—. That is exactly how Trump wants to roll. He is a maniac!”

A third said, “Imbecile. Don’t you get it! Trump chickened out on us!”

Despite the criticism, Watters had a supporter who agreed with him and said, “I legitimately think there’s a good chance we’re going for Cuba next.”

Ahead of the broadcast, Trump took to his Truth Social platform and posted, “Based on conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, of Pakistan, and wherein they requested that I hold off the destructive force being sent tonight to Iran, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran agreeing to the COMPLETE, IMMEDIATE, and SAFE OPENING of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend the bombing and attack of Iran for a period of two weeks. This will be a double-sided CEASEFIRE!

Trump previously threatened, “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?

“We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!” he closed.

Trump had threatened mass destruction if Iran did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. EST on April 7.
