New Jersey Institute of Technology Athletics has track star Jessie Fotheringham trending for all the wrong reasons.

The Biology major is a freshman who has gained thousands of new fans, and it has nothing to do with her talent. Fotheringham is making waves in the United States. The Tamworth, NSW, Australia, native is a cross-country star who puts in work on and off the track.

One picture of her in her track uniform sparked quite the social media feeding frenzy. The freshman cross country star had her arms folded as she posed in a white shirt that had “NJIT” on it. Down below, Jessie Fotheringham was rocking the red tights that she wears while running. That is where the action began.

The post, which has since been deleted from their Instagram account, shows Jessie Fotheringham with a rather revealing wardrobe malfunction.

“Admin was cooking 🪵,” a post said while posting the picture. It has been viewed more than 8 million times.

Jessie Fotheringham is gaining an entirely new fan base after her picture was posted on her school’s Instagram. A simple track picture drew men out of the woodwork, eager to learn more about her.

“I guess I’m not getting it. Are we looking at her 🐪 toe?” one person asked.

“Oh, I’ve never been this swollen lol,” a second person wrote.

“For whatever reason, every track, swim, cheer, and volleyball team of almost every college has pictures like this on their Instagram account, and it’s really strange that the athletes are OK with it,” a third person said.

“Skinny girl always come with big camel 🐪,” a fourth person said of Jessie Fotheringham.

“That thing has 2 extra inches of grip,” a final person commented.

She is certainly the only girl who has had to deal with a situation like this. Olivia Dunne posts similar pictures, and sometimes cannot help what shows in the outfits that she wears.

Fotheringham is certainly not one of those girls who want to be an Instagram model. Amid her new social media fame, she quickly put her Instagram account on private. She does not like the attention, since she knows anybody new is only showing up to see more pictures below her waist.

Aside from what social media says about her, Jessie Fotheringham became a 3000m Steeplechase National Champion before college.

Just this past weekend at the 2026 America East Indoor Championship, she placed 3rd in the Mile run. She was also in fourth place in the 3000m.
