Sophie Cunningham is not a fan of what Angel Reese said about her team.

The Chicago Sky are almost done with yet another losing season since drafting Reese out of LSU.

Reese, who recently snapped at her teammates during a game, sent out several comments that conveyed just how discontent she has become with the franchise and her teammates.

The Chicago Sky star made it clear to her team, “I’m not settling for the same s— we did this year,” Reese told the Chicago Tribune.

In response, Reese was suspended for the first half of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Aces for what the organization called “statements detrimental to the team.”

Instead of playing in the second half, she would miss the entire game due to a back injury.

“The Chicago Sky values the safety, respect, and well-being of every player,” the team said in a statement last Friday. “We are committed to accountability so our players can stay focused on playing basketball. This matter has been handled and resolved internally, and we are moving forward as a team.”

Her teammates were so upset over her words that they planned to confront her about it. She would eventually apologize to them publicly.

“And then your teammates feel a certain way and that causes division in the locker room,” Cunningham continued. “So just protect your locker room at all costs.

“I’m sure she regrets saying that, don’t get me wrong. But, man, there’s just some things that everyone probably knows, but you just can’t say. … You can have those conversations behind closed doors, but to say it in media is kind of brutal, I think.

“I mean, if anyone does that, you should get fined.”
