Nobody has said who pulled the plug. The timing still looks messy. The old show quietly disappeared after June, with fans getting no comment from either side.
Cunningham’s ESPN remarks on protecting women’s sports landed first.
“I got a lot of negative feedback about me hating trans,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘I never once said that.’ I think that I am here to extend love. But I also think with that love is truth, being honest. And I want to protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn’t have to go against biological men.”
Wilson answered on video.
“Okay, transgender athletes in American sports is such a borderline nonexistent issue that right-wingers have convinced a massive portion of people in our country that these people are like a threat to sports in America when mathematically that’s not the case at all,” he said. “And by continuing to platform this… you’re only isolating transgender people even more.”
Front Office Sports later reported the original one-year deal was expiring and the network wanted a tighter basketball show.
Cunningham said, “Drew and I love this sport, we could talk basketball all day. Now we will! We’ll dive into everything around the WNBA and NBA and can’t wait to share our thoughts.”

X did not mourn Wilson.
“Thank goodness they got rid of the other guy,” one said.
“Looking forward to the show I’m glad she left the other one he didn’t appreciate her,” another wrote.

“Last thing we heard from him was blabbing about boys in girls sports not being a big deal. Good for her ditching him,” someone added.
Wilson also dealt with Summer House drama while the podcast sat dark. Cunningham’s following kept climbing after the sports comments. She even passed Caitlin Clark on Instagram during that surge.
