Fever’s Sophie Cunningham shares a new update on her professional career with her fansLAPRESSE
After six seasons with the Phoenix Mercury, Sophie Cunningham closed out her first year in Indiana Fever averaging 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 30 games played before suffering a torn MCL in her right knee on August 17.
Still in rehabilitation and recovering, the 29-year-old point guard has announced a new update in her professional career.
Sophie shares big news with her fans
If there’s one thing Cunningham is known for, it’s her competitive spirit and sense of humor, which quickly won her the affection of Fever fans.
Keeping in constant contact with them through her social media, the Indiana star didn’t want to leave her followers out of this great partnership.
Sun Cruiser, the alcoholic tea beverage brand, revealed on its official Instagram account that Sophie will be joining them with a photo of the WNBA star wearing a white tracksuit and holding one of the drinks:
“Grab a Sun Cruiser and give a toast to @sophie_cham, our newest partner in the Sun Cruiser fam,” wrote @drinksuncruiser in the post’s description. “We’re kicking off the fun with a party in NYC this week. Hit the link in our bio for more info and to RSVP.”
Fans were quick to comment on the post, showing their support and affection: “This just makes sense,” said one. “What a duo!!” wrote another follower. “We just changed the game,” said a third.
Sophie also commented on the post with a sun emoji, another looking sideways with a half-smile, and a flame emoji.

“I play hard, so when it’s time to relax, I make it count,” Cunningham said about the partnership. “Sun Cruiser gets that – they’re all about those moments when you’re hanging with your people, soaking up the sun, and genuinely enjoying yourself… I’m pumped to partner with a brand that celebrates and values the importance of downtime and having fun.”
This new alliance adds to a long and growing list of agreements that includes Ring, Arby’s, and Adidas.
Meanwhile, “The Enforcer,” so named after defending Caitlin Clarkin a game against Sun and risking a fine and expulsion for doing so, does not have a secure place on the team since, once the transfer period opens on February 1, she will be a free agent.
