Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever are once again playing a game without the services of Caitlin Clark.

Clark, who previously missed time with a left quad and a left groin injury, has been sidelined 20 of the Fever’s 33 games this season.

Clark will miss the Fever’s matchup against the Washington Mystics on Friday. This is her 12th consecutive absence since suffering the groin injury on July 15.

Clark’s lengthy absence marks uncharted territory for the 2024 Rookie of the Year, who never missed a game during her four years at Iowa or during her rookie campaign with the Fever.

That means her teammates will have to try to win yet another game without her and keep their playoff hopes alive.

One of those teammates is the widely popular Sophie Cunningham.

Before Friday’s home game, the Indiana Fever guard did not exactly come dressed to impress, as opposed to her previous outfits.

Cunningham was wearing an oversized long-sleeve black crewneck top that covered her up like never before. She paired it with fitted black athletic shorts that displayed her thighs and legs in full display.

On her feet, Sophie Cunningham had on gray slide sandals with a cushioned sole.

Sophie Cunningham has stepped up her game in the absence of Caitlin Clark.

In the 12 games that Clark has missed, Cunningham has scored in double digits in all but three of them. She has also been shooting exceptionally from the field.

In the last three games alone, Cunningham is shooting 16 of 29 from the field combined.
