Sophie Cunningham’s Spicy Bikini Dance Is Breaking The Internet [VIDEO]
Sophie Cunningham is once again attracting major attention online after an older set of photos featuring the Indiana Fever guard in SKIMS resurfaced on social media.
The images were not newly released. Cunningham originally shared them in 2024, but users on X discovered and circulated the post again this week, introducing the photos to a much larger audience.
The renewed attention comes after a dramatic year in which Cunningham’s profile grew well beyond her performances on the basketball court.
She joined the Indiana Fever and quickly became one of the most talked-about players surrounding the team. Much of that attention followed an incident involving Caitlin Clark during a game against the Connecticut Sun in June.
Clark had been poked in the eye and knocked to the floor by Marina Mabrey. Later in the game, Cunningham became involved in a confrontation after what was described as a blatant foul on Jacy Sheldon.
Cunningham responded physically, helping spark a scuffle between the teams. As players and officials attempted to separate those involved, she grabbed Sheldon’s hair and continued exchanging words.
The moment reinforced Cunningham’s growing reputation as an enforcer willing to stand up for her teammates. It also made her extremely popular among Fever supporters who believed opponents had been targeting Clark since she entered the WNBA.
Cunningham appeared completely comfortable with the physical side of the confrontation. The original report also noted that she had previously earned a black belt, making her fearless response less surprising to fans already familiar with her background.

Her social media following increased sharply after the incident. Cunningham began receiving more attention from brands, appearing in commercials and gaining opportunities that extended beyond basketball.
Her fashion choices also became a regular subject of discussion.
Pregame outfits have helped several WNBA players build larger profiles online, and Cunningham has been no exception. Her clothing has frequently attracted reactions from fans, sports pages and social media accounts over the past two seasons.
One of her most widely discussed fashion-related posts came after the WNBA expanded its relationship with SKIMS.
Kim Kardashian’s clothing company entered a multi-year partnership in 2023 that made SKIMS the official underwear partner of the WNBA, NBA and USA Basketball.
Cunningham later promoted the partnership by posting photographs of herself wearing pieces from the brand. The images showed the basketball star posing in SKIMS underwear without a bra, creating a very different look from the uniforms fans normally see her wearing on the court.
“As the official underwear partner of the WNBA, @skims is as comfortable as it gets,” Cunningham wrote alongside the original post.
The photographs initially gained attention when they were published, but they began spreading again after being rediscovered on X. The reposted images quickly attracted new reactions from fans who had either forgotten about the campaign or had never seen it before.
Their return also came at a time when Cunningham had become far more recognizable.
When the photos were first shared, she had not yet experienced the same level of viral attention that followed her move to Indiana. Her role in the altercation involving Clark and the Sun significantly changed how many WNBA fans viewed her.
She was no longer known only for her basketball ability. Cunningham had become one of the league’s most visible personalities, with her interviews, clothing choices and on-court behavior regularly generating conversation.
That larger audience helped the older SKIMS post spread once again.
Away from the viral photographs, Cunningham’s first season with the Fever ended earlier than she would have wanted.
She suffered a season-ending injury after averaging 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds for Indiana. Her absence added to an already difficult injury situation for the team, which was forced to continue without several important players.
Clark was also among the Fever stars unavailable during part of the campaign.
Despite those setbacks, Indiana came within one victory of advancing to the WNBA Finals. The team’s unexpected postseason run showed how competitive the roster could be, even while dealing with significant absences.
Cunningham’s future with the organisation has since become another major talking point.
Her physical approach, outside shooting and willingness to defend her teammates made her popular among many Indiana supporters. At the same time, her growing public profile turned her into one of the most marketable personalities associated with the Fever.
It remains unclear whether she will return to the team.
That uncertainty has only added more interest to every post involving Cunningham. Even photographs shared long before her move to Indiana can now generate enormous engagement when they reappear online.
The SKIMS images are a clear example.
They began as part of a promotional post connected to the brand’s partnership with professional basketball. Two years later, they resurfaced after Cunningham had become one of the WNBA’s most recognizable and heavily discussed players.
Her first Fever season may have ended because of injury, but her visibility continued growing away from the court.
Whether Cunningham remains in Indiana or moves elsewhere, the reaction to the resurfaced photos shows that fans will continue paying close attention to nearly everything she does.
