Give it or take it, the Michael Jordan-LeBron James debate is not going anywhere. Without a firm conclusion, it’s not ending anytime soon, at least not until LeBron finally hangs his shoes. The discussion is as lengthy as it is for Stephen A. Smith to come up daily and make a comparison.

Recently, Stephen A. sat for the year-old GOAT debate during the latest episode of ESPN’s First Take. While he offered his flowers to LeBron for his longevity, Smith seemed irritated by the longstanding discussion.

“The greatness that he(LeBron) has put on display for as long as he has put on display, I’ll even go a step further knowing how I feel about Jordan. And I think anybody that knows basketball agrees with me. I actually think it’s time to not even have the debate anymore because that’s how great LeBron James has been for as long as he has been that great,” Smith said.

However, the heightened discussion was also fueled by James’ latest all-time leading point tally. He now has a mind-boggling 50,000 career points, which makes him an all-time leading point-getter.

Whether or not Anthony Davis or Luka Doncic is on his side, the Akron-born superstar has it going for years. That is what impressed ESPN’s NBA analyst.

Stephen A. Smith Gives His Nod To LeBron James Over Michael Jordan For Longevity

While there’s no match to what Michael Jordan had achieved in his era of basketball, LeBron James couldn’t be ignored. There’s hardly any player in the league who is in as good shape as he is.

And just for that, Stephen A. Smith has recently given a nod to LeBron James for his incredible longevity. Known for his passionate defense of Michael Jordan, Smith’s acknowledgment of LeBron’s sustained excellence speaks volumes. As James keeps defying expectations in his 22nd season, breaking the career points record, his consistent performance is hard to ignore.

“I know, and we all know I’m putting nobody ahead of Michael Jordan. Nobody. And I stand on it. My definition of the GOAT is you at your best against anybody else at their best. There’s nobody who has been as good [as LeBron James]. Meaning [in terms of] longevity, a sustained level of pristine excellence, LeBron James is the GOAT in that category. Jordan at his best is the greatest that I have ever seen, but Jordan wasn’t that good for that long,” Smith said.

While Smith still believes that Jordan is unmatched at his peak, he admits that LeBron’s ability to stay at such a high level for so long is unmatched. Until we meet again for the GOAT debate, Stephen A. Smith is steadfast in his definition of the true greatest player of all time in the NBA, and that is LeBron James.

Brittney Griner Finally Breaks Her Silence Over Alleged Caitlin Clark Comments That The WNBA Refused To Investigate

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got aw@y with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
