Stephen A Smith has become a fixture on ESPN’s airwaves, and that won’t be changing anytime soon.

For the time being, he is enjoying himself away from work.

NBA free agency is in full swing, but Smith is nowhere to be found on the ESPN airwaves this week.

Smith, a former newspaper beat reporter who rose to fame by pioneering the art of the sports debate show, is currently on a much-deserved vacation.

Smith has a very busy schedule, including ESPN commitments, his own radio show, and guest appearances on General Hospital.

He’s not the only one gone; his co-host, Molly Qerim, is also getting some time off for a few weeks.

“Another NBA szn in the books. Thank y’all for rocking with us 10 yrs & counting. Time to work on my tan-lines, shut my brain off & be with the fam. See ya in a few weeks. Grateful always, MQ,” she wrote on Instagram.

Stephen A Smith has so much money that when he takes vacation, he can afford to set things up at the last minute, and not months before, like much of the country.

The 57-year-old once told Bill Simmons that he doesn’t plan his vacations. He decides to go somewhere at the last minute.

48 hours or even 24 hours before he figures out what he wants to do, Smith will then book a flight, hotel, and car. Everyone else knows that doing that at the last minute can be quite expensive.

For Smith, it’s just a drop in the bucket.

Stephen A Smith agreed to a new contract with ESPN worth at least $100 million for five years, an agreement that has resulted in Smith continuing to star on “First Take” on ESPN while scaling back some of his other required appearances on the network.

In the fall, he’s set to begin not one, but two, news shows on SiriusXM “Mad Dog Sports Radio” — one devoted to sports and one to politics.

His bank account never gets a rest, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Fearne Cotton has broken her silence on split from husband Jesse Wood in her first TV interview since the breakup.

Joining Lorraine Kelly on Monday’s episode of the ITV show, the TV presenter, 43, also gave an health update after having two tumours removed from jaw.

Fearne has had a difficult few months after undergoing surgery to remove two benign tumours from her jawline, just days before her split with Jesse emerged.

Discussing her recent surgery, she added: ‘I feel very grateful to have completely recovered.

‘I feel really good. I have a lot of people reaching out who have had the same thing.’

Davina McCall, 56, announced in November she’d been diagnosed with a colloid cyst, a rare type of benign brain tumour, and has supported Fearne.

She continued: ‘Everyone needs a Davina. She’s been amazing, weird that we had the same health thing going on at the same time. She’s so calming and we speak every day. She is just the best

It comes after Fearne has seemingly made another thinly-veiled dig at her ex-husband as she gushed that she is the happiest she’s ever been in a positive update.

Speaking to Scott Mills on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show, Fearne gushed that she is ‘really happy’ and is ‘springing out of bed in the morning ready for life’.

Scott, who has known Fearne for 25 years, said he has never seen her ‘more positive or happier’, prompting Fearne to agree and reply: ‘Yeah I feel great!’
