The incident between Karmelo Anthony and Austin Metcalf has already separated social media over racial lines, and it is likely to only get worse.
Metcalf was st;;abbed and k1lled at a track meet on April 2. In addition to track and field, he was a linebacker on the Memorial High School football team.
On April 2, the 17-year-old was k1lled at a UIL District 11-5A track meet at Kuykendall Stadium.
Police said a student from Centennial High School in Frisco, 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, st;;abbed Metcalf in the chest during a fight over where he was seated.
Athletic trainers told first responders Metcalf was not conscious and not breathing, and despite performing lifesaving measures on the wounded victim, from CPR to blood administration, the teen di3d at the scene.
Anthony was ar::rested and is now charged with first-degree murd3r and is in the Collin County jail on a $1 million bond.
Now, there is a report that footage of the incident has been obtained.
“Authorities have reportedly collected video evidence of the confrontation between two Texas teens that resulted in a fatal sta;;bbing during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, on April 2,” per The Post Millennial.
Police said Anthony allegedly confessed to the k1lling on claims of self-defense.
