Initially, the matchup looked like a total disaster as Ohio State dominated early and built a commanding 23-3 lead in the third quarter.
Nobody could’ve predicted this outcome in the final frame. Unfortunately, things still ended on a sour note.

Following the incredible comeback victory against Ohio State, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian caused a stir by walking away from ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe.
As the game ended, a chaotic celebration erupted on the field at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. Subsequently, Rowe caught up with Sarkisian to conduct the traditional postgame interview. She barely began her question before the ecstatic coach completely interrupted her broadcast. Instead of answering, he leaned into her microphone and screamed, “Let’s go, Texas fight! Let’s go, Texas fight!”
Furthermore, he gave a quick “Hook ‘Em” gesture to the camera and immediately bolted toward his celebrating players. A visibly frustrated Rowe was left standing entirely alone on the field with her microphone.

Social Media Was Not Happy With The Texas Head Coach

During a high-stakes matchup, veteran ESPN reporter Holly Rowe attempted to conduct a standard post-game or halftime interview with the head coach. However, the interaction quickly went off the rails.
Rather than stopping to answer her questions, the coach seemingly blew her off entirely, walking away while she was actively speaking into the microphone.
Social media had a lot to say about it.
“He did the same thing at halftime,” another person pointed out.
“He has to be fined for that. Huge fine!” a second fan demanded of Steve Sarkisian.
“It’s just a lack of respect.. yes after a huge win yes a reporter normally gets to asks a question … we normally see coaches have enough respect to answer one question,” a third fan wrote.
“He doesn’t owe her anything.” “Get women out of sports.” Her gender has nothing to do with Sarkisian not allowing the reporter to do her job. That was classless. If Deion Sanders does that, I swear to God, it’d be thought pieces on class, humility, and respect,” one final fan commented.
Ultimately, Sarkisian chose to sing the fight song with his team rather than stay for media questions. This was arguably the biggest victory of his career, and he wanted to celebrate with the players. Can you blame him?
