Is that really Alysa Liu?

Alysa Liu’s feet are going viral, except they probably aren’t her feet.

We live in a time where someone can create an image depicting just about anything in mere seconds, so it’s pretty difficult to tell what’s real from what’s fake.

The photo in question had been in circulation for just over a day at the time of writing and had already attracted close to five million views.

It shows a woman who’s supposed to be Alysa Liu wearing a gold medal around her neck and a glittery gold dress while showing her feet off in a locker room.

“For the love of god and everything holy this better not be a real image,”  the caption reads.

“I’m not a ‘foot guy’ and have never commented on a person’s feet, but that is a nice set. She could be a foot model,” a user claimed.

Someone wrote, “I don’t know what you want to say but I say that image is very beautiful.”

“Doesn’t matter, I only took the phone out of my mouth to type this reply,” someone confessed.

The American figure skater became a household name during the Winter Olympics in Milan, Cortina last month.

She became the first American woman to win Olympic gold in singles competition in 24 years at just 20. Then she won another gold in the team event.

What’s more, the UCLA athlete had already retired from skating. She returned to the sport in 2024 after a skiing trip reignited her interest.

Her exploits at the games saw her social media pages explode as she racked up over seven million followers on Instagram and another three million on TikTok.

Unfortunately, the feet shown above probably aren’t hers.
