In the episode titled “A Health Update from Janet,” the reality star revealed a scary health issue she experienced at the start of the New Year.

She explained that for the “past two weeks,” she dealt with extreme pain that “wouldn’t go away” and landed her in the hospital.

“It was almost two full weeks of constant pain, throwing up, and unable to eat, which led me to lose almost 20 pounds,” Janet told her podcast co-host Jared Lipscomb.

The TV personality then shared that her 5-foot 9-inch frame was now down to a shocking 113 pounds, which she noted was “extremely unhealthy” for her height.

Janet posted a clip from the podcast on Instagram, showing her noticeably slimmer figure.

She dressed casually in a loosely fitted brown tee, exposing her thin arms, while keeping her bottom half concealed beneath a blanket.

The TV star wore no makeup and her long brunette locks in a ponytail, further showing her face’s more slender appearance.

Janet highlighted in her caption that she was diagnosed with “acute gastritis,” resulting in her significant weight loss.

She also warned fans that she’ll “look pretty unhealthy for the next few months” until she gains the weight back and stressed that her current weight is “not normal.”

Despite a rough start to 2026, Janet vowed on her podcast to maintain a “positive perspective” for the rest of the year and is “grateful” to now be doing well amid the brief setback.

Her husband, Jason, commented on the post with support and praise for Janet after all she’s been through.

“I’ve watched how hard the last few weeks have been on you — the fear, the exhaustion, the setbacks — and I’m beyond proud of the strength you’ve shown through all of it.

“You never stopped fighting. I love you so much. Bright days ahead,” Jason wrote.

Fans followed with words of encouragement for the Bravo star in her road to recovery.

“Yikes! That’s so scary. Glad you’re on the mend,” one person commented.

“This is why people should never comment on weight; no one knows what others are going through. I hope you’re back to feeling like yourself soon!” said another.

“So sorry you were going through this!! you are a warrior!” a third remarked.

“So glad you’re feeling better!! How scary!!!!” a fourth added.

Janet and her husband Jason made their reality TV debuts on The Valley when the series premiered in March 2024.
