October 2, 2016; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Dallas Cowboys quarterback Mark Sanchez (Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports)
Former NFL quarterback was officially booked at the Marion County Ja/il after getting discharged from hospital on Sunday.
Sanchez, an analyst for FOX Sports, has been hit with multiple charges following an altercation that took place last weekend, while he was in Indianapolis to cover a game for the network.
The incident left him nursing several sta/b wounds, which required surgery. However, he was the only one charged, as police believe he was the aggressor.
The 38-year-old is facing a felony charge and multiple misdemeanors for allegedly attacking a truck driver outside of an Indy hotel, with surveillance footage painting a grim picture and leading the authorities to believe the driver’s account.

The driver, 69-year-old Perry Tole, was also hospitalized with serious injuries. He has since sued Sanchez and FOX Corp.
His lawsuit claims he sustained “severe permanent disfigurement, loss of function, other physical injuries, emotional distress and other damages” because of what Sanchez did to him.
Sanchez has been released from ja/il, as has his mugshot, which has gone viral online and can be seen below:
According to a police affidavit, Sanchez approached Tole while he was in his truck, and their interaction escalated to the point of the latter using pepper spray to defend himself before resorting to a knife.
The felony charge carries a potential prison sentence of one to six years. Sanchez is scheduled to be in court on November 5.
