TODAY’S Jenna Bush Hager slaps her co-host, Sheinelle Jones, for seemingly letting a secret slip live on air.
Things got slightly awkward between the pair on Wednesday morning’s broadcast after Sheinelle appeared to bring up a forbidden topic while cameras were rolling.

It happened minutes after the show’s start while the duo gushed over their wide range of musical performances this week.
Mumford & Sons took the stage earlier that morning on Today, and Sheinelle admitted she is now a fan of the rock band.
“You didn’t know them the way I knew them,” Jenna joked, seemingly about an experience with the group.
“I definitely didn’t know them the way you know them, and Jenna decided to share with them,” Sheinelle jokingly replied.
However, it seemed that Sheinelle said something she wasn’t supposed to as Jenna hit her on the arm, saying, “No, I didn’t.”
“I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Oh, I don’t mean it in that way!” Sheinelle insisted.
“No, I know what you mean, and we’re not saying that,” Jenna demanded.
“Remember? I got a text that said, ‘Don’t say that,’” she added.
“Oops!” Sheinelle cringed as she realized her mistake.
Jenna immediately changed the subject and moved on to the next discussion topic.
Viewers were left confused over the co-hosts’ confrontation and shared their thoughts on a popular Reddit forum.
“I think she was hinting at something sexual with her and her husband, like they have sex to Mumford and Sons, and Sheinelle spilled the beans? And Henry told her not to say anything? That was ICY,” one fan speculated.

Sheinelle joined the show’s fourth hour as Jenna’s permanent co-host in January, taking over for her former right-hand woman, Hoda Kotb.
The transition seems like it hasn’t been the smoothest, as fans have noticed tension between the pair on numerous occasions.
Two particular instances occurred during a broadcast in April, in which they appeared to snap at each other; one time was in front of their guest, Victoria Beckham.
An insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun last month that Jenna felt “blindsided” by the producers’ decision to give Sheinelle the co-host position, without asking for her input.
Meanwhile, another NBC source shared that some staffers resent Jenna for her hosting role, saying she didn’t deserve it because of her limited experience and that “her last name opened doors.”
