Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce was under fire for what seemed like a normal interaction with Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump. The three-time Super Bowl winner attended Tuesday’s TGL game between The Bay GC and Jupiter Links GC.
Kelce met up with multiple people during the night, including Trump, whose mother dates Tiger Woods, one of the founders of the competition.
A video of the NFL star and Trump made the rounds on social media Tuesday night. Many people somehow criticized Kelce for his interaction with the young adult.
They were chatting cordially and smiling while a camera recorded both of them. The clip didn’t last 10 seconds, yet people took issue with it.

While he spends his time watching other sports and enjoying his time (and planning his wedding) with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s uncertain future remains a huge question mark around the league.
The 36-year-old flirted with retirement after the 2024 season. He ran it back in 2025, but the Chiefs won just six games. NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported from the combine that the Chiefs await a Kelce decision soon.
“This week we should have some answers from Kansas City,” Rapoport said. “They for sure, for sure want him back, especially considering how he played last year.”
Kelce played 17 games in 2025, catching 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns. The Chiefs lost 11 games, but also Patrick Mahomes to a season-ending injury.
