ROB Rausch reportedly passed up an opportunity to appear on another hit reality show to star on The Traitors.

Fans of the beloved Peacock series nearly missed seeing the hunky Alabama snake wrangler in the currently airing Season 4, as he had another major gig on the table.

Reports recently circulated that Rob was initially invited to appear on the Love Island USA spin-off series Beyond the Villa alongside many of his Season 6 co-stars, but he turned down the role.

Rob’s ex, Leah Kateb, starred in the spin-off with her new boyfriend, Miguel Harichi, who, aside from Serena Page and Kordell Beckham, is the only couple still going strong from their season.

Leah previously shared that, although Rob decided not to participate and they had kept their distance out of respect for Miguel, the exes were “in a good place” following their contentious romance on TV.

She also said that Rob’s decision not to appear on the show had nothing to do with her, which he confirmed during an Instagram Live.

The reality star clarified that “the only reason” he opted out of the show was that he didn’t want to uproot his life to live in Los Angeles for the eight weeks of filming.

“Like, what do you want me to do? Just show up and say, ‘Hey, this is my life. I live here for eight weeks.’ It just didn’t make sense; it was unauthentic to me. So, I was like, ‘Yeah, I don’t think I can do it,’” Rob told his followers.

At the time, Rob was filming The Traitors, and he thought pretending to live in LA while residing in Alabama felt forced.

Many fans have been thrilled to see Rob back on their screens, outside the Love Island villa.

Viewers were first introduced to the TV star on Season 5 of Love Island USA before returning to Fiji for the subsequent season, widely considered the best of the franchise.

Fans were even more excited when The Traitors’ host Alan Cumming gave Rob the role of a traitor, alongside Real Housewives stars Lisa Rinna and Candiace Dillard Bassett.

However, Rob might have gotten himself into hot water with his ally Lisa after he voted for her to be banished on Thursday night’s episode.

The TV personality explained he threw her name down to avoid choosing between his other ally, Colton Underwood, and his pal Ron Funches.

But the move might’ve severely affected Rob’s bond with his fellow traitors, as Lisa survived and Ron was sent packing.

Rob is also expected to face off with his franchise-mate, Maura Higgins, from Love Island UK, later in the season.

An insider exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun that Maura felt “betrayed” by Rob when he opted to do his own thing instead of the pair sticking together.

Rob has appeared to use his quiet personality and good looks to his advantage in the game, and his name has not yet come up as a possible traitor.

Meanwhile, Colton has been insistent that Lisa is a traitor and vowed to make it his mission to take her down.

The latest episode ended with the traitors learning that their next murder must be committed in plain sight, in front of everyone.

New episodes of The Traitors air on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. EST/6:00 p.m. PST on Peacock.
