The Arizona State Sun Devils couldn’t have opened the season any better than they did after defeating Northern Arizona on Saturday.

Not everything went according to plan.

Inside Mountain America Stadium, thousands of rowdy ASU Sun Devils fans were going crazy for their squad. Unfortunately, at least one of them would not be able to watch the game all the way through.

Arizona State, which already went viral for its Alpha Phi sorority dance video, had one member of the fan base get into a verbal argument with a guy cheering on Northern Arizona.

Despite being outnumbered, a video clip from the stands shows a guy in a red shirt throwing three quick Punchɛs to the face of the student in yellow that knocked him down to the ground.

Despite his best efforts to get some payback, he would be held back from attacking his attacker.

His night would only get worse as the Arizona State fan found himself being Arrɛsted and escorted out of the stadium.

Sun Devils, picked to finish last a year ago, instead won the Big 12 title. Nobody could’ve seen that coming from a program that finished 3-9 in 2023.

In fact, before last season, the program’s last double-digit win season was 2014. The school has only had five of those types of seasons since 1986.

They have gotten off to a great start behind the talent of quarterback Sam Leavitt, who accounted for 330 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday.

Jordyn Tyson made it easy by catching two touchdown passes, and No. 11 Arizona State kicked off its season 1-0.

The Sun Devils are looking to get back to the College Football Playoff, which was the first time in 2024.
