Caitlin Clark showed up to practice looking slightly different this week, and fans were taken aback.

The Indiana Fever point guard remains questionable for Tuesday’s Commissioner’s Cup championship game against the Minnesota Lynx, having missed multiple outings with a left groin injury.

Clark has been sidelined for the Fever’s last two games, including a highly anticipated showdown against the Dallas Wings and Paige Bueckers. The injury is already the second of the season for the former Iowa star following struggles with a quad problem in May.

While an appearance tonight is still uncertain, Clark joined her teammates in practice on Sunday, though not the entire session, and told reporters she was feeling “good” but still taking a day-to-day approach as she steps up recovery.

“I’m doing everything I can to put myself in a position to play the next game,” she said.

This is excellent news for Fever fans and the WNBA in general. Meanwhile, a video from the team’s shootaround has gone viral simply on account of what Caitlin was wearing.

Check it out below:

“I didn’t recognize her with the tights!” one fan exclaimed.

“I like the new look with the Tights! Someone online said she DT 2.0! 😂😂😂😂,” another claimed.

“Tights and a bun?! Okayyy CC,” someone else observed.

“She wants to be Tyrese Haliburton so bad 😭,” someone else joked.

“CC wearing leg sleeves or compression tights. Poor CC,” a fan wrote.

As one fan pointed out, Clark was likely wearing compression tights, which can provide pain relief, as well as support and stability, given that they target the adductor muscles and reduce strain.

The Fever are 3-4 without Clark this season and 5-4 with her on the court. They will hope to have her for their first Commissioner’s Cup final, where they will face the Minnesota Lynx, who are the defending champions.

Before this season, Clark had played in 185 games dating back to college without missing a single one through injury. She will be keen on regaining her Ironman attributes following her latest setback.
