It only took a few minutes, and Clay Matthews has already won the NFL Draft.

Matthews saw an opportunity and took it.

At the start of the 2025 NFL draft in Green Bay, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell turned the mic over to Matthews since he is a legend of the team.

Goodell probably regretted that immediately.

Matthews went off script and stated, “I just got off the phone with President Donald Trump. He asked me to pass a message along to all 32 NFL franchises.”

Clay Matthews then pulled out a piece of paper and said, “So let me tell you what it reads here, alright… It says my fellow Americans, the Bears still suck!”

Goodell, the NFL, and ESPN were all surprised by Matthews’ comments, but the crowd full of Packers fans reacted well to the trash-talk.

On the other hand, Bears fans will look for their team to get payback against them during the season.
