No, Coach Prime still isn’t “all the way recovered.” It’s been over a month since Deion Sanders first hinted at a lingering health issue. Since then, the Colorado Buffaloes head coach has stayed active, but fans can’t help but worry. Over the weekend, Sanders gave another honest update in a vlog by his son, Deion Jr., and it’s clear the Hall of Famer is still fighting through something.

“You know I’m still going through something,” Sanders told his daughter, Shelomi, while reluctantly climbing into an ice bath with her. “I ain’t all the way recovered.”

Despite not revealing details, Sanders hasn’t shied away from showing his struggle. In the vlog, posted to Deion Jr.’s Well Off Media YouTube channel, Sanders goes from a tennis court to a 1.3-mile jog. He moves with determination, not ease.

He eventually joins Shelomi, Colorado’s women’s basketball player, in the frigid tub. But after a few minutes, he taps out. “That hurts,” he says, wincing from the cold. The pain looked real.

Sanders first went public with the issue on June 10, explaining he’d be skipping parts of the Buffaloes’ summer football camps due to his condition. He gave no specifics, but assured fans, “everything is okay.”

Still, he showed up to the Big 12 Conference media day on July 9, smiling and shaking hands like usual. That’s Deion. Always showing up, even when his body’s screaming at him.

Health problems aren’t new to him. In 2022 and 2023, Sanders underwent several surgeries, including the amputation of two toes. Those issues stemmed from ongoing circulation problems in his leg and foot.

Now, it seems something new or maybe related is slowing him down again. But giving up isn’t on the table.

Sanders is still coaching. Still running, barely. Still in that ice bath. And still saying he’ll be okay. As he told fans during the vlog, he’s just “doing the best” he can. For a man who’s always been larger than life, sometimes that’s enough.

WNBA star Brittney Griner was at the center of a new debate over what she allegedly said in a game against basketball phenom Caitlin Clark.

The Atlanta Dream center found herself at the center of social media controversy last month when some fans thought she disparaged Indiana Fever star guard Caitlin Clark upon fouling out.

The game’s broadcast focused on an upset Griner saying something as she returned to the Dream bench after fouling out of the game. While there’s no audio of this moment, some who tried to read Griner’s lips thought she called Clark a “trash f–king white girl.”

However, there’s no proof of Griner saying those actual words since others thought she stated something else.

It took weeks for someone to finally get a quote from her, and she provided much of nothing.

Brittney Griner was asked about this moment before her team’s June 15 game against the Washington Mystics and said, “I remember fouling out, being mad. I remember fouling out on, I believe it was [Natasha] Howard driving to the basket. They said I put my hand in.”

Moments before the conclusion of the Indiana Fever’s 81-76 victory over the Dream at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta weeks ago, cameras seemingly caught Atlanta Dream star center Brittney Griner labeling Caitlin Clark “trash” before calling her a “f***ing white girl” in frustration over a foul on Natasha Howard.

The clip of Griner speaking on the bench, lacking context, spread on social media and went viral.

Griner, who won a gold medal for Team USA at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 2024, essentially got away with whatever came out of her mouth because the league basically ignored the controversy.

This incident is not the only time Griner vocalized her frustrations this season. Following another game, she stormed off mid-interview, yelling at the referees to “be f—ing better.
