Angel Reese Missing Easy Amount Of LayupsAngel Reese (Photos via @BricksCenter)
A fan put together a stunning video showing Chicago Sky star Angel Reese missing plenty of easy layups over the first 23 games of her rookie 2024 WNBA season.

Angel Reese has been one of the top WNBA rookies in 2024, averaging 13.5 points, 12 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. But there’s undoubtedly room for improvement on her shooting, as she holds a 40.2 percent field goal percentage.

The @BricksCenter X/Twitter account posted a video of Reese missing an alarming amount of layups throughout her ongoing rookie campaign. The video has quickly gone viral, with over 5.9 million viewers alone on the platform.

As the video progresses, the layups look much more routine and should be easy points for Reese, but the 22-year-old somehow keeps missing:

A player with Reese’s talent level can only get better from here. Still, there’s no telling how better her stats would be if Reese made most of those easy layups.

Reese is in the middle of a superb rookie season that won’t be overlooked because of these missed routine layups. She was named to the All-Star Game in her first rookie year and has the Sky in the playoff hunt.

Social media went off:

Angel Reese & Sky Are The No. 8 Seed Coming Out Of Olympic Break

The Sky currently occupy the final playoff spot and No. 8 seed with a 10-14 record. They are tied with Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever (11-15) for the No. 7 seed and also just 2.5 games behind the Phoenix Mercury for the sixth seed.

Chicago has some breathing room on the ninth-seeded Atlanta Dream, who are 7-17 and three games out of the final playoff spot. So barring a collapse, Angel Reese and the Sky will be in the eight-team playoff tournament to decide the WNBA champions.

Reese and Chicago return to action on Thursday with a home tilt against Phoenix.

Basketball fans are in stitches over a viral video of Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese missing not one, not two and not three…but four (!) shots over an 11-second sequence.

Angel Reese and the Sky hosted the New York Liberty on Thursday night, looking to avoid an 0-2 start following their 93-58 blowout loss against Caitlin Clark and the Chicago Sky in the season opener.

But for the second straight game, very little went right for Reese and the Sky in another lopsided defeat. They fell 99-74 to the visiting Liberty, shooting just 36.2 percent from the field as a team.

Perhaps the clip below in the first quarter best sums up the night for Reese and company. Early in the first quarter, Reese missed four shots over an 11-second span, but she at least bolstered her stats by obtaining the rebound each time:

Social media had a field day teeing off on Angel Reese over the four awful missed shots in the 11-second period:

“Submitting this to Americas Funniest home videos asap,” a user wrote.

“She needs to have asterisks next to her double double record. This is heinous,” one fan wrote.

“Just give her the MVP already,” joked another.

“Does 3 travelings equal 1 traveling in the WNBA? Lol,” wrote a user.

“Just smash the over on rebounds 😂easy money,” another quipped.

“They need to change the stat allocation just for her lol,” said a user.

Angel Reese briefly set the WNBA single-season rebound record last year with 446 before undergoing season-ending wrist surgery. Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson wound up breaking the record, finishing with 451.

For what it’s worth, Reese is at 29 rebounds through Chicago’s first two games.

Tony Romo speaking on CBSTony Romo (Photo via CBS)
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is not the most popular guy on TV. That much was apparent while he was calling the Wild Card game between the Broncos and Bills for CBS on Sunday.

Romo, who has done very little to hide how much he admires Buffalo QB Josh Allen, had some praise for the MVP favorite while he was attempting to take his team to the Divisional Round.

Some fans felt like he was being overly gracious, while some simply couldn’t stand him talking in general.

“STFU AGAIN ROMO!!!!!!!!! I’M TIRED OF YOUR BILLS AND CHIEFS GLAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU’RE SICKENING ASF!!!!!!!!!!” an X user wrote.

“Can we start a petition to ban Romo from calling games,” another asked.

“Can Tony Romo get off his kneees for Josh Allen?” someone else chimed in.

“Tv muted when romo starts talking,” a fan claimed.

Tony Romo’s Partner Reached Impressive Milestone

While Romo was getting slammed, his broadcast colleague touched an impressive milestone.

Jim Nantz has been with CBS for over 40 years and reached his 500th game with the network calling Sunday’s fixture.

Nantz and Romo have been working together for seven of those 40 years.

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.

In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.

“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.

Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
