NBA players often face unexpected questions from reporters during their interviews. Interestingly, Dallas Mavericks superstar Kyrie Irving once faced one of the most stunning questions ever directed at an athlete.

The reporter asked Irving if he might have time for a “Quickie” with her. Irving responded, “Yeah, that’s fine.” The Mavericks star recently watched this interview on his live stream and had a priceless reaction.

“Oh! Wait, what? Oh my god! Did she just ask me for a f***ing quickie? Oh nah… That was wild. My PR team would be like, ‘Yo, what?’ Nah. No. We’re not doing this. It’s just dirty jokes, y’all. The fact that she went into this, I didn’t catch it, but this is what I’m saying. Just certain things used to be going over my head; this went completely over my f***ing head,“ Irving said.

Irving delivered impressive performances for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2024-25 NBA season. Unfortunately, the team was unable to secure a playoff spot. In the offseason, the Mavericks’ star has become more active on social media and engages in several live streams.

Over the years in the NBA, Irving played alongside many greats, including LeBron James and Luka Doncic. However, he considers his Brooklyn Nets teammate Kevin Durant to be his greatest teammate.

“I will say this: the 7-Eleven duo of me and KD will never be topped in terms of just being on a court with somebody that special, right? So let me get that disclaimer out. I’ve played with a lot of great players, but playing with KD, it was OD. All right, he’s one of the best of all time. Obviously, we all have our strengths and weaknesses.” Irving said during his live stream.


Irving averaged 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 50 games in the 2024-25 NBA season.
