Sydney Sweeney and her controversial ad campaign with retailer American Eagle continue to be a topic of discussion.

In the ad, she stares into the camera and whispers: “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color. My jeans are blue.”

The video has since been removed from American Eagle’s social media channels, but can still be found online.

You may be asking yourself what the big deal is over a commercial that seems to be quite harmless.

Sweeney’s new American Eagle ad campaign has been widely criticized for allegedly promoting “Nazi propaganda” by being a “racialized dog whistle” praising blond hair and blue eyes.

A lot of people are upset about Sydney Sweeney’s ad, while others are mad that others are upset about it.

The internet is an incredibly diverse place.

Now, the backlash has made it to real life.

The actress rolled up in a black SUV to the “Americana” premiere at Desert 5 Spot in Hollywood and was heckled by a woman.

As she makes her way inside, a woman can be heard yelling, “Stop the ad, that is being racist!”

Sydney Sweeney never turns to the lady and just continues walking inside.

On Monday, President Trump weighed in on the recent controversial ad campaign with actress Sydney Sweeney for American Eagle.

He argued that the success of it is a sign that being “woke is for losers.”

“Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the ‘HOTTEST’ ad out there. It’s for American Eagle, and the jeans are ‘flying off the shelves.’ Go get ’em Sydney!” Trump said on Truth Social.

Trump, in his Truth Social post on Monday, added that Jaguar had a “stupid” and “seriously WOKE” ad from a year ago, pointing out the company’s leader resigned after it.

“Or just look at Woke singer Taylor Swift. Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!),” Trump said. “She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned — Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be.”

After the Sweeney advertisement, White House communications director Steven Cheung pointed to the backlash as an example of “cancel culture run amok.”
