Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers have made an impressive effort in the NBA Finals 2025. They have now successfully forced a Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which will take place on Sunday.
This marks their first opportunity to compete for a championship title in nearly a decade.
However, with very little to no notice, Haliburton was playing despite a calf injury. He managed to perform admirably as he scored 14 points and led the team during the crucial minutes.
But he didn’t pull up all of these numbers without support. Not with the one on the court. We are talking about his girlfriend, Jade Jones.
As much as he was excited and dedicated to the Finals, Jones was also doing her best to keep Halburton accountable.
During the post-game presser, Hali shared how Jones reminded him before Game 6 to take care of his injured calf.
“Before we put [Love Island] on, we have to put something on the calf,” Tyrese said.
However, Halburton’s efforts proved crucial as the Pacers outlasted the Thunder 108-91 in the game. And now all eyes are set on Game 7.

The Pacers pushed the 2024 NBA Finals series to a Game 7 after their win against the Thunder in Game 6. This is something we haven’t seen in the Finals since the memorable matchup between the Cavaliers and Warriors in 2016.
Obi Toppin led the team with 20 points, while Tyrese Haliburton chipped in all while nursing a calf injury that would have kept him out for weeks during the regular season.
After the game, Haliburton shared his thoughts with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, stressing on the importance of staying focused. He also emphasized why it’s necessary to stay away from the media narrative.
“I think take the good with the good, the bad with the bad. Right now, for the next two days, everybody’s going to be talking about how good we looked, how well we played, how much pressure is on OKC that’s going to be the narrative. And we got to do a good job of staying away from that stuff, I think that can be poison,” Haliburton said.
Haliburton knows that Game 7s are typically tough, gritty affairs where anything can happen, and he’s excited about the challenge ahead. He pointed out that the Thunder will be coming into the game with a lot of energy, especially playing at home.
