A WNBA coach threw major shade at Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever this week.
The league announced the rosters for the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game over the weekend. The league’s best team, the Minnesota Lynx, have two representatives in the All-Star Game: Napheesa Collier and Courtney Williams. However, Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve is not happy.
Reeve believes that the Lynx, who are 17-2 on the year, deserved more than two WNBA All-Stars. She took a shot at teams below them, including the Indiana Fever, for having more All-Star selections than they did.
This did not please her.

Reeve took a shot at teams like the Indiana Fever, who have three WNBA All-Stars, including Clark, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.
The Minnesota Lynx head coach, who also coached Team USA, was not happy.
“I don’t know why only Phee and Courtney are All-Stars when you have the best team in the league by a few games,” Reeve said. “There are teams that are below us in the standings by a lot that have three All-Stars.
“Historically, teams at the top get minimum of three, oftentimes four, so really disappointing. Really, really happy for Courtney, the obvious one was Phee, but we are disappointed in the coaches’ voting with regards to their selections for All-Stars.”
The Fever are one of two teams below the Lynx in the standings to have three All-Star players. Indiana is 9-9 on the year. Seattle, 12-7 on the year, has three All-Stars, too.
Of course, this is not the first time that Reeve has taken shots at Clark and the Fever. She previously took a shot at the WNBA for promoting Clark.
“ALSO in action tonight — @minnesotalynx vs @chicagosky 7 pm CST. Though fans won’t be able to watch, #Lynx fans can go to the Lynx app to follow along via play by play. Or if you are in market, come to the game…as we start the season off right,” Reeve wrote in a since-deleted post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
She added to the end of her post the hashtags: “#theWismorethanoneplayer” and “#12teams.”
Reeve and Clark could have an interesting interaction during All-Star Weekend.
