Caitlin Clark noticed a photographer’s heartfelt post for injured Indiana Fever teammates and shared supportive words appreciating the touching gesture.

The Indiana Fever is hit with multiple injuries, leaving several roles reversed. Sophie Cunningham’s recent injury makes four players out of action for the franchise. Caitlin Clark and Aari McDonald were key guards in the team’s success. However, things are falling apart with Cunningham being out for the rest of the season.

Recently, a famous Indiana photographer, Bri Lewerke, tried to find a ‘positive vibe’ from the adversity and shared some nostalgic photos of the injured players having a great time on the bench.

Caitlin Clark Reacts To Throwback Images

With the WNBA regular season nearing its end, the players have formed a special bond throughout the year. They shared a close bond from veteran Sydney Colson to experienced Sophie Cunningham and the 2024 Rookie Clark.

As many fans showed love and shared words of encouragement for the injured players, photographer Bri Lewerke used some of her clicks to show their bond. She put up 18 pics of the wounded Fever stars together, enjoying games and having fun on and off the court. She used Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer as background music, which perfectly fit the fever situation.

Caitlin Clark loved the extraordinary efforts, commenting, “Cruel summer hitting,” and added, “At least we love each other endlessly.”

Cunningham, though, joined the team in 2025 and formed a quick connection with the Iowa star. She openly advocated the playmaker as the face of the league. Colson, also the funny one, found it easy to jam with the others.

Aari McDonald, one of the team’s latest additions, bonded well with the Fever squad. Sydney Colson and McDonald were present for the team’s practice sessions, encouraging the players to perform at the highest level.

Shorthanded Indiana Fever Won’t Rush Caitlin Clark’s Return

The team is just two games ahead of the playoff qualification threshold with only nine games left. Considering the tough opponents ahead, head coach Stephanie White will be crying out for quality in the lineup, yet the franchise will not rush its superstar, Caitlin Clark, to suit up for the games.

White clarified that CC’s long-term health is the primary objective, and the team is willing to give her ample time to recover from the groin injury. When talking about the playoff qualifications, many analysts, including Sheryl Swoopes, believe that the Fever’s depth is capable of putting the team in the postseason, allowing the Iowa star more recovery time.
