WNBA star Sonia Citron smiling on the court.

Citron made an appearance at the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game on Sunday afternoon. The Week 2 showdown between NFC East rivals was a wild one.

Dallas topped New York, 40-37, in overtime. The Cowboys tied the game with a 64-yard field goal from All-Pro kicker Brandon Aubrey as time expired. Dallas then won the game with a shorter – but albeit still impressive – 40-plus yard field goal from Aubrey in overtime.

Citron, who starred collegiately at Notre Dame – she went No. 3 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft – was attending the game to visit her boyfriend, a Dallas Cowboys player.

Citron was attending the Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game at AT&T Stadium to visit with her boyfriend, Marist Liufau.

Liafau, 24, is a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys. He was a third round NFL Draft pick out of Notre Dame in 2024. Liafau starred collegiately at Notre Dame from 2019-23, before becoming the 87th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Dallas Cowboys linebacker met his WNBA star girlfriend while they were both attending Notre Dame in South Bend.

Marist posted a cool tribute to his WNBA All-Star girlfriend earlier in the season. He’s extremely proud of her.

“All Star Game Day ⭐️,” he wrote on Instagram.

“Appreciation post for this amazing woman. You inspire me to be better every day in sports and in life. I love supporting you. You are more than deserving of all your blessings! 💗.”

She replied: “Couldn’t do it without you❤️.”

The couple has been together for almost four years, as they celebrated their two-year anniversary back in January of 2024, according to Instagram.

“Two with you,” she wrote.

The Cowboys will look to improve to 2-1 on the season in Week 3, when they take on the winless Chicago Bears.

Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. E.T.

The Week 3 game will air on FOX.
