Sophie Cunningham certainly knows how to turn heads during the WNBA offseason.
Cunningham, 29, spent the first six seasons of her WNBA career before being traded to the Indiana Fever. Although it took a few weeks for her to find her footing, she ended up averaging 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, she suffered a torn MCL in August that put an end to her 2025 season.
A few months after undergoing surgery on her knee, Cunningham provided an update on her health. She made it clear that she’s eager to get back on the court.
“I’m not the most patient person. I do pray for patience, but I kind of let myself out of that cast without a doctor’s order,” Cunningham said in October, via Hawkeyes Wire. “I had my check-up and they’re like, ‘You’re progressing really well and you look awesome.’ I said, ‘Say less.’ I’m getting back to the point where I’m lifting weights and get moving. That doesn’t happen to me very often. That’s good.”

The latest rehab update from Cunningham didn’t exactly provide a timeline for her return to action.
Cunningham did, however, let her fans know that she won’t let her knee brace stop her from sporting a swimsuit this offseason.

Life off the court.
Cunningham launched her own podcast, “Show Me Something,” during the 2025 WNBA season. During an episode in October, she revealed that she wants to eventually participate in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“Angel [Reese] walked in it and she killed it, absolutely killed it. I texted my agents right away,” Cunningham said. “This has been a dream of mine since second grade. I’ve always wanted to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel.”
Two months later, Cunningham teased the possibility of her participating in a WWE match.
“They asked me to do it,” she said. “You know, maybe after I retire or off-season, maybe us two will be the new WWE duo.”
It’s safe to say Cunningham won’t just limit herself to being a WNBA player.
