WNBA star Sophie Cunningham has one main dating rule she always follows.

The former University of Missouri star, who played for the Phoenix Mercury before getting traded to the Indiana Fever, is gearing up for the 2026 WNBA season. However, it remains to be seen if the season will start on time. The WNBA Players Association and the WNBA are currently negotiating for a new collective bargaining agreement. WNBA players are seeking big raises and a bigger slice of the revenue share.

Meanwhile, Cunningham is continuing to co-host her podcast with “Summer House” star West Wilson. During a recent episode, Cunningham revealed her major dating rule.

Cunningham, who is 6-foot-1, revealed that she refuses to date anyone who might be shorter than her.

A fan had called into the podcast with a voicemail question.

“Mostly for Sophie, but I want West’s input on this one. I’m about 6-foot, but I find girls Sophie’s height and taller very attractive,” the fan asked.

“I also understand girls don’t want to date guys shorter than them, so should I just accept that my queen is going to be shorter than me, or is there something I can do to get taller girls’ attention? I would be fascinated to hear your guys’ take on this.”

Cunningham was honest.

“I don’t think I’m the right tall person to ask because I could never date someone shorter than me,” Cunningham said frankly. “Because I already feel big. So I want someone who is going to make me feel smaller.

“But there are so many guys who have taller girls! I think people have really good energy, and I love so many people. I just can’t [date shorter], I would just feel like the man in my relationship.

“I think that you need to try going to sand volleyball, beach volleyball,” Cunningham added to the caller. “Do beach volleyball, because there’s a lot of tall girls there, and volleyball in general, like I don’t know, that could be a vibe?”.

Unfortunately, any short kings interested in Cunningham are out of luck.
