The FBI has revealed having found disturbing messages Tyler Robinson sent to his roommate following his arrest in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

Robinson is reported to have turned himself in to the authorities after leading them on a manhunt and is now facing serious charges. The 22-year-old’s mugsh0t has gone into circulation on social media, while information on his background continues to surface.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox revealed in a press conference that a suspect had been detained on Friday.

Cox, who joined the FBI for the presser, said investigators spoke to Robinson’s roommate and were shown Discord messages between him and an account named “Tyler,” per CBS.

The messages showed Tyler discussing a rifle, which he said he needed to pick up from a drop-off point. He is said to have also spoken about the weapon being unique and the messages he engraved on the ammunition.

The Governor said Tyler also spoke about needing to change his outfits.

Tyler Robinson Reportedly Told Family He Did Not Like Charlie Kirk

While Robinson’s voter registration suggested he didn’t support a particular party, those close to him said he had recently become vocal about politics.

According to Cox, Robinson was arrested after a family member contacted a family friend, who then contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office after being told that the 22-year-old had either confessed or implied that he was the one who sh0t Kirk.

A family member reportedly recalled one dinner in which Tyler was present and mentioned that Kirk was scheduled to appear at Utah Valley University.

“They talked about why he didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had,” Cox relayed.

Tyler Robinson fled the scene on Wednesday after making his way off a roof and into a wooded area, where he left the weapon behind, wrapped in cloth.
