Fernando Mendoza’s aunt has gone viral again following Indiana’s national championship win.
Mendoza declared for the NFL Draft this week after leading the Hoosiers to a 16-0 season.
The quarterback also achieved a massive personal milestone, snagging the Heisman Trophy before the win.
Mendoza has quite the story in 2026. His family has gotten plenty of attention, too. His relationship with his mother, Elsa, who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis, has warmed hearts around the nation.

On the other hand, his aunt has been turning heads due to her looks. She first went viral at the Peach Bowl, and fans are now looking forward to seeing her at the draft.
“ESPN might have a camera fully dedicated to Fernando Mendoza’s aunt at the NFL Draft: 🎥,” College Sports Only tweeted on Friday.

“She’s a beauty,” someone wrote in the comments.

Mendoza’s aunt’s full name is Ena Espino Pereda. She was born and raised in Coral Gables alongside her sister and now works in Miami’s commercial real estate industry.
Ironically, she attended the University of Miami.
It also appears that she’s married, based on her last name.
